Westlife’s 2019 comeback tour of the UK, Ireland, and Asia was called The Twenty Tour. The title reflected the fact that the guys celebrated an amazing 14 number 1’s and 20 years of hits! (No, we can’t believe it’s been 20 years either…)
Kian, Nicky, Mark, and Shane toured the UK, Ireland and Asia with a selection of our favourite hits from through the years, plus some new material from the new album, Spectrum.

Were the Twenty Tour shows filmed or recorded? Is there a DVD?
The 6 July gig at Croke Park, Dublin, was broadcast live in cinemas across the UK, Ireland, Europe, and other countries worldwide. A recording of the same Croke Park gig is now available to purchase on DVD, titled “Westlife: The Twenty Tour Live from Croke Park“.
The DVD also includes some behind-the-scenes clips, as Westlife had a camera crew follow them backstage for fly on the wall documentary-style filming.

What was the Westlife Twenty Tour setlist?
Westlife performed a selection of hits from the last twenty years. Shane said in a Facebook Live interview in February 2019 that the tour setlist was likely to be made up of around 80% old songs, with a few new ones, such as Hello My Love.
Shane revealed:
“We had so many songs to pick from when it came to deciding what to do on the tour and we’ve been changing our minds right up until the last second! Every Westlife fan has their favourite song.
If we didn’t put big ones like Flying Without Wings, Swear It Again, Uptown Girl, World of Our Own and When You’re Looking Like That in there would be hell on, so they’re in there. And without confirming anything else, If I Let You Go is my wife’s favourite song…that’s all I’m saying!”

What happened on stage? Did Westlife dance?
Yes! Nicky posted a behind-the-scenes shot from day one of the Twenty Tour dance rehearsals back in April 2019 – exactly one month before the first date of the tour.
A photo posted by Kian on Instagram showing Westlife silhouetted with a green lighting display behind them, demonstrating the impressive stage effects that make up the show – including fire and confetti!
Shane reckoned that the show was “bigger and better than ever before”:
“We have brought in the designers behind Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas to design the show. It will just blow you away.”
“It’s basically a spectacular show with Westlife songs thrown in.”

One of our favourite parts of the show was the Uptown Girl dance, shown in the video below:
